DESIGNING USER EXPERIENCE
We understand that “Designing User Experience” is much bigger and broader term than designing just the visuals. Designing experience for somebody, who is not you, nor your client. (S)he is the one who will be using the design created by you, but you won’t be there to accompany him/her or guide him/her. And that’s the reason, why a design has to be easy-to-use, self-explanatory and intuitive.
At ITCube our designs revolve around user. What are the problems user is facing or how we can make his life better with our designs. The question we always ask is in all the phases is: ‘what are the gaps our design is filling for the user’, because we believe that ‘UX starts from gap and not visuals – nor with the technology’
Whenever we design the User Interface, we strongly follow the VIMM principles (Visual/Intellectual/Memory/Motor). Any load on these four elements is going to cause problems for user to use the application. That’s the reason that we give user only what is required at right time at right place. Any extra information is just going to add the clutter for him.
Highlights of our Designing Competencies include:
We take assignments also for layout creations. We are pretty much aware that the concepts for designing a layout web site and web application are pretty much different. One is required corporate identity where as other needs to have ease of use with understanding of development limitations. Our team is best at both.
For any user interface it is important for the stakeholders (designers and our clients) to have a clear understanding of each other's requirements and to help in that endeavor, we provide state-of-the-art HTML prototyping. After understanding your requirements, we provide an HTML application mock-ups with all possible navigation flows mapped out. The HTML prototypes are not just static HTML pages, but almost a semi-complete application using HTML 5, CSS 3 and Java Script frameworks like JQuery.
The interface created by our UI team is guaranteed to work on all major versions of all major browsers. It looks equally beautiful, regardless of what browser or device your end user is connecting with. Accessibility and W3 standards are ingrained in the way our team works, as we put emphasis on ease of use of the end user. You will also find strong adherence to the Web 2.0 UI design standards in all our work. This ensure that the work created by our UI team is at par with the current as well as latest industry standards.
SharePoint 2013 Branding
Our design team has undergone a training for SharePoint 2013 and can convert the html pages to SharePoint 2013. They also add the snippets like logo, breadcrumbs of SharePoint. Later on SharePoint Developers add the required web parts to it.
Responsive Web Designs
We moved to responsive UI design principles as soon as it became evident. Our work is always optimized to work with any mobile device, as we would not want your interface to be non-accessible to mobile users. We ensure that the designs created will be available regardless of whether your customer is viewing it on a desktop or a mobile device. The designs are optimized to look aesthetically beautiful regardless of the screen space or size or resolution.
Front-end / html-css support
We also do give in-house as well as on-site support for web applications. Technologies can be different as java, .Net or SharePoint.
